Connecting a GoHighLevel agency
RollupFox reads your location data straight from GoHighLevel, so the first thing you'll do is connect your GHL agency account. You connect once at the agency level and RollupFox gets read-only access to every sub-account underneath it — no per-location setup.
Video walkthrough coming soon
Before you start
- You're signed in to RollupFox and on the Connect GoHighLevel screen.
- In the same browser, you're signed in to marketplace.gohighlevel.com with the agency you want to connect.
- You have permission to approve app access for that agency.
Before you connect
Open Connect GoHighLevel from the left navigation. The screen links your GHL agency account so RollupFox can read locations, contacts, appointments, and pipelines. Before connecting, the status reads "No active connection."
Sign in to GoHighLevel first
Make sure you're signed in to marketplace.gohighlevel.com in this same browser before you connect. If you're not signed in there, the agency account can fail to link correctly.
Connect your agency
- 1
Click "Connect with GoHighLevel"
On the "Connect your agency" card, click the Connect with GoHighLevel button. RollupFox sends you to GoHighLevel to approve access.
- 2
Approve read-only access
On GoHighLevel's screen, review the permissions and approve. RollupFox requests read-only access to your locations, contacts, calendars/appointments, and opportunities/pipelines — it never writes to your sub-accounts. Tokens are stored encrypted (AES-256).
- 3
Return to RollupFox
You're returned automatically. A green banner confirms: "GoHighLevel connected. You can now import and sync your locations."
Confirm the connection
Once connected, the Connection status card shows your Agency ID, the scopes that were granted (contacts, opportunities, calendars, calendars/events, locations), and a Last verified time.
You can click Verify access at any time to re-check that the connection is still healthy, or Discover locations to preview which sub-accounts your connection can see.
What happens next
Connecting the agency grants access — it doesn't pull data on its own. Your next step is to bring in the sub-accounts you want to report on from the Locations screen, then activate and sync them.
Continue with "Importing and activating locations" to choose which sub-accounts RollupFox reports on.
Troubleshooting
- "Authorization failed or was cancelled"
- The approval was closed or declined in GoHighLevel. Click Connect with GoHighLevel to try again.
- "Finish your marketplace install"
- If you installed RollupFox from the GoHighLevel marketplace first, you may see this card. Click Connect this install to bind those sub-accounts to your workspace — there's no need to reinstall.
- Connected the wrong agency
- Use Disconnect, make sure the correct agency is signed in at marketplace.gohighlevel.com, and connect again.
- Single sub-account only
- There's an "Advanced: connect with a Private Integration Token" option for connecting one sub-account directly. For a full agency, always use the Connect with GoHighLevel button — agency-level tokens can't read sub-account data.
