Creating a KPI template
A KPI is a single metric. A template is a collection of KPIs. You define your KPIs once in a template, and RollupFox applies the same definitions to every sub-account so corporate reporting speaks one language.
Start from the default template
Open KPI Template Library from the left navigation. The fastest start is the built-in template: click Create default template.
This creates the Franchise Growth Template — 14 ready-made KPIs covering leads, appointments, pipeline, and close rates (New Leads, Total Contacts, Booked Appointments, Appointment Show Rate, Opportunities Created, Pipeline Value, Closed Won, Close Rate, and more). It's marked with a Default badge and is a solid base to adjust.
Build your own KPIs
To add a metric of your own, click New KPI. The Create KPI dialog walks you through two steps:
- 1
Step 1 — name it and pick a data source
Give the KPI a name (for example "Meta Leads") and choose its Data source: Contacts (leads & people), Appointments (calendar bookings), or Opportunities (pipeline deals). Then click Continue to Conditions.
- 2
Step 2 — set the conditions
Define which records the KPI counts (see "Defining a KPI rule"). You can also Skip for now and add conditions later.
Add KPIs to an existing template
Open a template to see its KPIs and the "{n} KPIs" count. Click Add KPI, give it a name, choose What to count (Contacts, Opportunities, or Appointments) and a Measure (Count of records, or Sum of value for opportunities), then use Edit rule on the new row to set its conditions.
From the template's detail page you can also Rename, Duplicate, or Delete the template. The same rules run on every sub-account and roll up automatically.
